US $ conversion Questrade

Hello, I have opened a TFSA account using Questrade and planning to follow Model Portfolio distributions. What will be the best way to get maximum CAD $ to USD $ rate when buying Berkshire (listed in Model Portfolio)? I have heard that Questrade conversion rate is low? What are my options? Thank you

Hi smuzaffar,

You'll probably want to use Norbert's Gambit to exchange your CAD to USD before buying U.S. listed stocks and ETFs. Questrade charges a high currency conversion rate, and using NG would probably save you some money.
